My ideea of a fashion investment

Photo Credit: Ionut Cristian Vinte Photography

Am cumparat aceasta bijuterie anul acesta de la Koln si am adus in garderoba mea prima mea IT bag.

Sooner or later my second nature would have came up, so why not now. As I said before, briefly, I am an economist, or accountant if you will. Therefore I kind of understand the horror of the personal finances. Of course that doesn’t mean that I know how to invest or to save better than any other person. Actually I may be a little chaotic, involved in a permanent crazy shopping spree. Personal finances, is fancy for the way we spent our money. I chose my moment perfectly to talk about expenditures, during the time of presents, when everybody juggles with money to check all the items of the gift list and also to manage to buy something for themselves.

I don’t know if this happens to you, but it keeps happening to me. There are a lot of must have items out there, but not enough financing. There’s also the sad topic of brands and amazing stuff that are off my buying radar. I decided to come up with a shopping system, that would allow me to complete my wardrobe in a responsible way, avoiding Rebbeca Bloomwood crisis type. Therefore when I want to buy something I analyze first the advantage that I will be granted by the acquisition. For example I invest in quality jeans, because jeans tend to pay for themselves in time. You can use jeans to build all sorts of outfits, casual, smart casual, boho chic, punk, and anything you can imagine. They don’t deteriorate as fast as other items, and even if they deteriorate, you can still crop them and wear them some more.
When a new trend emerges, one that is eccentric, think about how much it will last before you make a huge investment in an item that might be fashionable only for a little while. Take this example, the zebra pants, the ones with wide vertical stripes in black and white. They used to be super cool for like two months and then nobody has ever worn them again. You shouldn’t invest in a fleeing trend, you should better invest in something classic, that will never go out of style, such as the little black dress. You can accessorize the little black dress in infinite ways and you can wear it undercover for many events.

I also believe in guilty pleasures. I actually think that they represent our passion for fashion. These are the items that you have to have, the objects that you don’t care how much they cost and also that you never regret buying. Therefore a soul choice, a statement piece can improve your outfit, can make you feel special and confident. For me at this moment, my crown jewel piece is the Selma Mini Saffiano it bag by Michael Kors. I picked this baby up from the official Michael Kors store in Koln and was love at first sight. Look at how great this tiny bag compliments my daily outfit.
