My top 5 girly tv series!

Nu stiu voi, insa eu de fiecare data cand am putin timp liber sau cand imi reorganizez dulapul, reiau anumite seriale, care mi-au placut la nebunie. Din multitudinea de seriale, pe care le-am vazut de-a lungul timpului am ales sa vorbesc despre 5 serii potrivite pentru fete. Evident ca am urmarit si urmaresc si alte tipuri de tv shows nu doar girly, insa la acestea revin cu cea mai mare placere si de multe ori ma regasesc in anumite situatii. Nu vi s-a intamplat niciodata sa rezonati puternic cu vreun personaj, fie dintr-un serial, film sau carte? 

Nu pretind ca acestea ar fi cele mai bune seriale pentru fete, deoarece sunt o gramada de productii, care au avut mare succes, dar pe care inca nu le-am vazut. De exemplu Vampire Diaries a avut un succes izbitor si nu doar in randul fetelor, insa dupa perioada intensa de Twilight Obsession pe vremea cand aveam 16 ani nu am mai gasit acelasi entuziasm vis-a-vis de aceasta tematica. Acelasi lucru mi s-a intamplat si cand a aparut Pretty Little Liars. L-am asociat imediat cu Gossip Girl (chiar daca poate nu seamana!) si nu am mai gasit interes pentru el. Asa ca am ratat cu siguranta o gramada de seriale girly sau cum vreti sa le spuneti, insa va pot spune cate ceva despre preferatele mele. 

I don't know about you guys but whenever I have some time for myself or I reorganize my closet I revisit my favorite tv shows. During the past 10 years I managed  to watch a lot of tv series but only a few ones stuck with me. I want to talk about 5 of my  choices regarding girly shows. I have seen a lot of other series, I do not watch only girly stuff! However, have you ever felt like you can relate to a certain character from a movie, series or book?  

I don't want to imply that these are the best chick flicks, I only want to share my favorite ones. I hadn't even seen a couple of really popular tv shows, such as Vampire Diaries, mainly because Twilight was enough on the subject, or Pretty Little Liars, that I have always associated with Gossip Girl, even tough I am sure they have few things in common. I missed a lot of other glossy shows but I can tell you something about the ones that I have seen and loved.

Numarul 1 - Sex and the city

Recunosc ca prima oara cand am vazut Sex and the city eram probabil prea tanara ca sa il inteleg. Am vazut cateva episoade la tv cand aveam in jur de 13-14 ani si nu am inteles nimic, ba chiar am fost dezamagita. A trecut ceva timp pana cand i-am acordat o a doua sansa, la 19 ani, cu o minte mai deschisa, mai pregatita. Evident ca m-am indragostit de personaje si de atunci ma uit cel putin o data pe an la episoadele preferate, pe sarite, sau pe nerasuflate la toate sezoanele. Ce ma atrage cel mai mult la acest serial e faptul ca e vorba de o prietenie adevarata intre 4 femei imperfecte si cu o gramada de probleme. Felul in care reusesc impreuna sa treaca peste toate obstacolele si modul in care trec prin viata increzatoare si indraznete mi se pare foarte motivant. Desigur e destul de intrigant si modul in care reusesc sa jongleze cu cariere importante, moda si barbati in acelasi timp. Daca sunteti interesate de moda, Sex and the city este minunat si il recomand!

The first time I came across Sex and the city I was barely 14, therefore I was not really impressed by it. Only after a few years I managed to really understand it, but the moment I did, I fell in love with this tv series. I became so fond of the characters and since that moment I re-watch it at least once a year. Sometimes I don't feel like watching the entire series and I only watch my favorite episodes. The most appealing thing about this show is the fact that it portrays a beautiful friendship between 4 imperfect, independent women. The way they manage to deal with their problems together and go through life all confident and glamorous is really inspiring. Being able to juggle with a successful career, fashion and men is a real turn on for women. So I would definitely recommend Sex and the city.

Numarul 2 - Gilmore Girls

La "Fetele Gilmore" ma uit de 7 ani si fara sa exagerez am vazut toate sezoanele de cateva ori in fiecare an. Stiu cat de ciudat suna, dar e adevarat si sincer nu pot sa ma satur de serialul acesta. Nu stiu daca am gasit vreun film sau serial care sa ma obsedeze atat de mult (poate The Big Bang Theory, dar e la alta categorie!). Am trecut de-a lungul acestor ani de la tabara lui Rory la extrema cealalta, Lorelai. Daca acum 7 ani eram de partea lui Rory in orice disputa, pe parcurs am inceput sa inteleg mai bine perspectiva lui Lorelai. Am crescut cu acest serial, efectiv si il recomand oricarei amatoare de umor, cafea, sarcasm si replici inteligente. Doar scriind despre Gilmore Girls si deja imi creste apetitul pentru o alta runda de cateva saptamani de vizionare obsesiva. Probabil ca sunt atat de indragostita de acest serial si din cauza ca regasesc o parte din relatia mea cu mama exemplificata in unele episoade. 

As weird as it sounds I have been watching The Gilmore Girls for 7 years. Every year I would watch all the seasons at least once! I know this is rather strange but I cannot help it! Besides The Big Bang Theory I don't think I have ever loved a tv show as much as I love The Gilmore Girls. Throughout the years I went from loving Rory and questioning Lorelai's methods to completely agree with Lorelai and condemn Rory for her actions. I grew up with this show. Gosh only writing about it and I feel like watching it all over again, in a couple of weeks, on obsessive mode. Also I may love this show because I can relate to it. My relationship with my mom is very similar to theirs. I could always talk to her and sarcasm was never off the table! So if you love good humor, coffee, sarcasm and witty lines, I suggest you start watching.

Numarul 3 - Gossip Girl

Gossip Girl este un must see, insa o data cu varsta scade interesul pentru intrigile ametitoare, pe care le ofera. Eu am inceput sa ma uit la Gossip Girl in liceu, prin clasa a 11-a si am fost complet fermecata de subiect si mai ales de tinutele extravagante, la care inca mai visez, chiar daca au trecut vreo 8 ani. In perioada aia era serialul perfect, mai ales ca inca mai existau relatii tip "frenemies". Acum nu putem ancora evenimentele in realitate, deoarece s-au cam dus vremurile alea de rautati si comploturi. Desigur ca mai revin din cand in cand la episoadele halucinante, dar acum le urmaresc mai mult pentru hainele superbe si pantofii innebunitor de frumosi, de care mi se face dor destul de des. Imi aduc aminte cum treceam de la o faza la alta si anume care e mai hot, Nate sau Chuck?

Gossip Girl is a must see, but as you grow older you tend to be less impressed by it's astounding intrigues. I started watching Gossip Girl in high school, in the eleventh grade and I was stunned by it. I was hooked. Actually I keep dreaming about those amazing outfits and it's been eight years. Back then Gossip Girl was the show to watch, keeping in mind that the 'frenemy' term was accurate and real. Those times of mean stuff, plots and scheming are definitely over. Of course I usually re watch it, because it is still great and the clothes are still gorgeous. This question will stay with us forever, Nate or Chuck?

Numarul 4 - Friends

Ok stiu ca Friends nu se incadreaza neaparat la categoria girly, insaaa vorbim doar din prisma fetelor acum. Nu v-ati gandit niciodata daca sunteti o Rachel sau o Monica? Phoebe apare mai rar fiind asa diferita, insa la fel ca toate personajele e grozava in felul ei si refuz sa cred ca sunt persoane care au vazut Friends si nu l-au adorat. Adevarul e ca fix in momentul asta merge pe fundal episodul numarul 1 al sezonului 7 din Friends 'The one with Monica's thunder". Daca va intrebati, da, am reluat din nou toate sezoanele...pentru a 15 oara probabil. Imi place foarte mult si felul in care numele episoadelor incep cu "The one with..". Pentru cei si cele care nu l-ati vazut va sugerez sa treceti la treaba, va promit ca nu o sa va para rau!

I am aware of the fact that Friends is not a chick flick! However we will refer only to the girls' stuff now. Are you a Rachel or a Monica? You could also be a Phoebe, if you are slightly different. I have loved this cast and adored their amazingly built characters. I simply refuse to accept that there may be people that have watched Friends and did not love it. The truth is I am kind of watching it right now, to be more specific I am watching the first episode from the 7th season, "The one with Monica's thunder". I loved the way every episode is named like this "The one with..". It really is a top show! I suggest you start watching, you won't be sorry.

Numarul 5 - The Carrie Diaries

The Carrie Diaries e un fel de guilty pleasure, deoarece sunt muuuult prea mare pentru un astfel de show. Sincer l-am urmarit pentru ca eram foarte curioasa cum e portretizata faimoasa Carrie Bradshaw, ca si adolescenta. Pentru cine nu stie inca, Carrie Bradshaw e personajul principal din Sex and the city, o scriitoare romantica din New York. Din dorinta de a descoperi trecutul unuia dintre personajele mele de suflet am vazut cele doua sezoane din The Carrie Diaries. Cu toate ca nu ma mai incadrez in sectiunea de varsta a acestui serial am suferit atunci cand am aflat ca a fost anulata productia urmatoarelor sezoane. Mi s-a parut un show usurel, placut si foarte optimist. Adica, care sunt sansele sa ne identificam cariera ideala inca din primii ani de liceu si sa reusim sa depasim toate obstacolele care ni se impun pentru a o obtine (la 16 ani). Totusi il recomand, pentru ca pe mine a reusit sa ma captiveze.

The Carrie Diaries is rather a guilty pleasure than a favorite show, mainly because I am way too old for this. I honestly watched it because I was really curious about "the early years" of Carrie Bradshaw. For those who don't know yet, Carrie Bradshaw is the leading part of Sex and the city. So I have watched the 2 seasons of The Carrie Diaries and I actually got really upset when they canceled it. It is a cute, light and really optimistic series!

Scriind aceasta postare am realizat urmatoarele lucruri: actiunea tuturor serialelor mele preferate se petrece in New York si in toate e prezenta aceeasi tematica, prietenia. Ce puteti deduce de aici e faptul ca imi pretuiesc cel mai mult prietenii si familia si ca sunt obsedata si indragostita de New York, si asta doar din imagini, deoarece inca nu am avut ocazia sa il vizitez, daaar fingers crossed!

Acestea sunt recomandarile mele in materie de seriale pentru fete! Pe voi ce seriale v-au captivat? Accept si sugestii din alte domenii cu mare interes!

While writing this post I realized the following things: all these plots of these shows take part in New York City, one of the main themes in every series is friendship. Therefore you could draw an obvious conclusion, I am really obsessed with New York even though I have never visited it and also I treasure my friends.

These are my recommendations concerning girly tv shows. What are your favorites? They don't have to be girly, I am interested in all sorts of other subjects!
